FAQ’s

  1. Q1: What makes Extreme Auto Detailing the Best in Northeast Ohio?

Our staff is dedicated to excellence and customer service is our number one priority. We pride ourselves on providing a full range of quality automotive detailing services. Don’t only take our word for it, we welcome new clients to see reviews on the web from our past satisfied customers.
  2. Q2: Why should I pay more with Extreme to wash my car when I can get a car wash for $10?

Automatic car washes are unsafe for your car’s paint. Brushless car washes use low cost chemicals that will strip the wax and protection from your car. Car washes with brushes will cause scratches in your car’s paint called swirl marks which ruins the appearance of your car. An Extreme Detail always starts with a hand wash. Our hand wash is with fresh clean water, biodegradable soap and a micro fiber mitt. In addition, during our Extreme Detail, your automobile will be given meticulous cleaning removing dirt, dust and stains in hard to reach places.
  3. Q3: My car is relatively new with a clear-coat? How should I protect it?

A car is the second biggest investment most people will have in their life. New cars have usually been sitting on the lot or have been in transit for months before you drive away with them. New car dealerships rarely carry out full details on new vehicles, so there is a plethora of contaminants in your car’s paint. Having your new car detailed will start you off on the right foot and ensure there is a proper layer of wax or sealant on the paint. A clear coat does not protect your paint from the sun, environmental elements and pollution. We recommend our Express Detail. This will protect both the interior and exterior of your newly purchased car.
  4. Q4: I’m selling my car and want to get the highest value. What do you recommend?

When you are selling your vehicle, having it clean inside and out will show the potential buyer that this vehicle is cared for. We would recommend our Extreme Detail. This package will definitely transform your car and increase its resale value. In addition, potential used car buyers want a car to look “new” but for a used car price. Our Extreme Detail will restore your cars past glory.
  5. Q5: What products do you use?

We use a variety of professional grade products and cleaners. We use proprietary cleaning products that will make your car shine and the earth smile! We want the only impact you see, to be your detailed vehicle. Upon request we can provide you the product details or MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) if need be.
  6. Q6: What will Extreme Auto Detailing’s Paint Sealant do to protect the paint on my vehicle?

Extreme Auto Detailing uses the best Paint Sealant in the industry. The Body Guard Teflon Paint Sealant was chemically engineered by detailers to give the longest lasting protection around. This paint sealant will protect your car’s paint for up to 12 months. Body Guard Teflon Paint Sealant. is a new class of paint sealant developed to harden into the highest quality finish achievable from urethane clear-coat, lacquer or enamel paints. Polymer and urethane sealants are fortified into Body Guard Wax Protection Plus to establish a flawless, long lasting finish.
  7. Q7: I have seen local car washes, tint shops and gas stations offering detailing at half the prices of most professional detailer services. What’s the difference?

First beware of any company that offers “add-on” services because it is not usually their core competency or specialty. Most professional detailers only detail cars. Reason being, a true detail consists of meticulous cleaning; professional swirl free polishing and protection of surfaces. Most less expensive, add-on detail programs simply cover dirt with shiny greasy solvent-based dressings. This not only traps the dirt inside but the solvents in many of these dressings actually damage the surfaces. In addition, most professional detailers are trained to use the equipment to get a desired look. Do not let an inexperienced detailer practice and make mistakes with your vehicle.
  8. Q8: Can I have my car polished but not waxed?

Polishing your car is what brings out the depth, gloss and shine for that “wet look” that most car enthusiasts crave. However, polishing adds no protection to your vehicle and in fact, usually strips any previous coat of wax on the paint. For this reason, it is absolutely essential that the car is waxed or synthetically sealed after polishing to “lock in” the polish and protect your car, yielding long lasting protection and shine.
  9. Q9: If I purchase an interior detailing package, will every stain and imperfection be removed?

It all depends on the type of stain, how long the stain has been ingrained in the material. While pre-treating and steam extraction (part of our service) is the most effective cleaning procedure available, some spills (especially any with reddish dyes), can actually damage and dye carpet and upholstery fibers. Once this occurs, these fabrics can be cleaned, but color change is permanent unless material is replaced or re-dyed.
  10. Q10: Does Extreme accept credit cards?

Yes! We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover in addition to cash. We typically invoice once the work is complete and payment is accepted upon pick up or delivery of your vehicle.
